And you all thought the Harry Potter drama was over.
Book has been read, podcasts (or should I say, Mugglecasts) have been listened to, and there is not going to be a movie for another year or so. But, wait! It’s back in the news!
OK, so I’m sure I should be all supportive and PC and pro-gay Dumbledore, but the truth is, I couldn’t care either way. It’s like thinking of my grandpa having sex; doesn’t matter if it’s with a man or a woman, it’s still kinda yucky.
I think the best thing about this whole “revalation” is the fact that most kids don’t seem to care. Take this exerpt from an article on Salon:
“I first heard about the revelation from a 9-year-old friend at a wedding I was attending, who exuberantly announced, ‘Dumbledore is gay!’ without a hint of complaint. When I asked whether the information surprised her, she said, ‘Well, I always thought he loved [Minerva] McGonagall, but I guess he only loved her like a sister.'” (From Salon.com)
So, yea! for our kids being more tolerant than our grandparents. I guess that means we’re doing our job.
And to all the grandparents out there, I don’t need to know who you’re bumping uglies with, male or female. Just let me believe you produced my parents asexually and we’ll all be happy.

I saw this article in the NY Times and just HAD to share with all of you.
“Just what does a gay millionaire former boy-bander would-be astronaut do?”
Why? Well, let’s see…gay millionaire. Former boy-bander. Would-be astronaut. Doesn’t that just sound like an article that was written for people like me?
I’ve been working on some research for new shooting techniques and his HDR photography is right at the top of my list. As always, though, it requires buying some new equipment and software. My two biggest issues right now are trying to get my slow-ass computer to operate the software and trying to get real color ideas from a crappy screen. It seems like all of my pictures are turning up with a blue tint.
(Wow, that was a boring post…maybe it’s time for another Guest Banana?!)
